FSC COMPETITIONS CO-ORDINATOR ROLE

As advised last month, David Naylor our FSC Competitions Coordinator will be retiring from his current role and as a result a recruitment process was undertaken.  The position was advertised on our web page, social media and the Illawarra Mercury.

There was considerable interest in the role and a number of candidates were interviewed and assessed by a panel of interviewers which included myself, Eddy De Gabriele (FSC Chair) and Claude Cuda (the Head of Men’s Football).

As a result of this recruitment process we are pleased to advise that Bobby Mazevski was the successful candidate and will commence employment in the role commencing the 7th October 2014.  David Naylor will be working until the 31st October, and this allows a 3 week training period for Bobby in the role.

As a result of Bobby’s employment with FSC, he will be stepping down from his role as Chair of the South Coast wolves and as the Head of the FSC Representative and Development Council.

Bobby has been a member of the football family as a player, coach and referee, he has strong relationships with many of our stakeholders and has a true passion for our game.  He has substantial experience within administration of the game and has a strong focus on process and customer service, which will continue to be a key focus of FSC.  Please join me in congratulating Bobby on his appointment.  Upon commencement of his role Bobby will send out further correspondence on contact details, email address, etc.

We are also pleased to advise that David Naylor has agreed to work part time with FSC over the 2014/2015 year to assist with the transition of the role, but to also assist the FSC Office in a number of areas.  With the significant growth in our businesses such as the FSC Academy and Summer Football and the unification of our referee’s, has meant additional functions within the FSC office, and David will be able to assist in some of these areas.

It has been an exciting and successful year of football in the region and on behalf of the FSC staff, we look forward to working with you into the next year.  I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you, our clubs, for the hard work, commitment and dedication you bring to our game – our game would not be the success it is without your support and we hope you enjoy some thoroughly deserved rest in the off season.
