MENS PREMIERSHIP PREVIEW

With wet weather looming, there are a number of games in doubt again unfortunately.

ILLAWARRA MERCURY PREMIER LEAGUE PREVIEW

Cringila Lions will be looking to get a game in when they tackle Albion Park White Eagles on Friday Night.

On Saturday, Bellambi will be looking to continue their charge when they tackle Port Kembla who themselves will looking to bounce back after losing to the Fury last week. Speaking of the Fury, they take on Tarrawanna in what promises to be an inetersting match given both teams' form of late.

Wollongong Olympic and Woonona have not made the best of starts so this match could kick start the season for either club. Wollongong United will be looking to put the disappointment of their FFA Cup exit behind them when they host Shell Cove.

On Sunday, South Coast United are set to host Bulli at the special time of 3.30pm at McLennan Park whilst Shell Cove will be hoping to get some points from their round 2 catch up game against Bellambi at Barrack Heights Sportsfield.

WGC CRANES DISTRICT LEAGUE PREVIEW

Neighbours Fernhill and Balgownie meet at Ray Robinson on Saturday with points important to both teams. Meanwhile Helensburgh will be hoping they get their mojo back after some indifferent performances over the last few weeks. They take on an improving University FC side that will be hard to beat.

Kiama Quarriers have been struggling to get much consistency and will find hosting Wests Illawarra a challenge.

The two biggest games of the District League this week see Oak Flats Falcons host Corrimal Rangers and the top of the table clash between Picton and Berkeley at Hume Oval. Even though it may be early days yet, a loss for either the Falcons or Rangers will likely see them fall further behind in the championship race whilst the only two unbeaten sides (Berkeley and Picton) battle it out.

Thirroul will be hoping they can keep pace with the leaders after they host struggling Coniston FC whilst Warilla Wanderers will be hoping they can build on their midweek draw against Wests when they tackle Kemblawarra who will be looking to turn their fortunes around.
