ASSISTANT TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Football South Coast is seeking an Assistant Technical Director to lead our organisation into the next phase of coaching and player development.

Football South Coast, based in the Illawarra, has close 13,000 registered players and close to 10,000 of these players are juniors. 

A key area of focus for FSC is junior development and our Technical Director currently oversees and manages many programs including Coaching Development and Education, School Holiday Clinics, FSC Academies, School programs, the Skills Acquisition Program (SAP) and the Association Youth League (AYL) competitions.

Given the recent growth in our junior development programs and the ever increasing focus of FSC to improve the quality of coaching across our region and improve player pathways, FSC is seeking an Assistant Technical Director to work on a part time basis (mainly afternoon and some weekend work) to assist the FSC Technical Director with a key focus on the Association Youth League.  The role will be a contracted position until the end of 2017.

Key areas of responsibility

• Implementation of FSC endorsed coaching activity including Coaching and Player education and courses
• Focus on player pathways specifically coaching education and player development for representative football
• Promoting football across the Illawarra on behalf of FSC
• Developing coaches across football in the Illawarra

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Asian B license
• Must be an approved FFA Instructor or willing to become and accredited instructor

Experience

• Must have experience as both a player and a junior or senior coach.
• Must have a proven track record in junior development.
