FSC MINI TILDAS PROGRAM
FSC is excited to announce our Mini Tildas Program – our first Girls Only U6 Competition.
Last year the FFA released a Women’s Football Strategic Plan with the key objective to make football the most played sport amongst Australian women and girls. One of the ways FFA identified to achieve this is to: “..provide girl-only traditional football opportunities while promoting mixed, including Small Sided Football and introductory programs”.
On Thursday 17 December, Football South Coast launched the Mini Tildas, which will be a Girls Only Mini-Roos competition starting for the U6’s. Ann-Marie Balliana, CEO and MD of Football South Coast launched the program with some excited potential Matildas. Balliana said ‘Playing in a Girls Only environment will give these young girls the confidence to play and develop. There will still be an opportunity for U6’s to play in mixed teams, this new concept will now give our young players the choice’.
We can’t wait to see them in action.
