VALE PETER BANNISTER
It is with great sadness that the Football South Coast has learnt of the passing of Peter Bannister.
Peter was the club founder and long-time player/President of University Football Club who last week lost his battle with a long term illness and passed away..
‘Banno’ as he was affectionately known was the life and soul of UOW FC and lived to support football in the Illawarra. Unquestionably, he was a great servant of the World Game.
He will sadly missed by the Illawarra Football Family and all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
Peter’s Funeral will be held at 10am Tues 6th May at Hanson and Cole, Kembla Grange.
In lieu of flowers a donation to Olunda Nursing Home has been requested by Banno's family.
