Congratulations to our 'Silver' Spartans!

At the recent U20 Australian Championships held between 5th-11th February in Gosford NSW, Southern Districts Basketball had an amazing 5 members represented as part of the Queensland U20 Women's team.

Paige Bayliss (5.29ppg, 8.14rpg), Jess McDowell-White (8.29ppg, 4.43 rpg, 4.14 apg), Tyla Stolberg (3.57ppg, 2.14rpg) & Esta Rarere (4.57ppg, 1.57rpg) were a part of the squad as players & our QBL Women's Head Coach Beck Stephens was on the coaching staff.

It was a very successful tournament for the Queensland girls going through all their pool games without a loss. Then in a very competitive final, they were unfortunately brought undone by Victoria 62-72.

Despite the loss in the final, they should all be very proud of their efforts over the tournament & everyone at Southern Districts wants to congratulate them on their achievement in claiming the silver medal!
