2017 PL Men's Coach Announced

The club is please to announce that Scott Whitmore has been appointed Senior Men's coach for the next two years!!

2016 coach Darnell Mee has decided to head back to the states after only one year with the Warriors, Darnell took the Men's team within 3 points of knocking off grand finalist Sturt during this years playoffs and the club thanks him for the season and wishes him all the best in his coaching endeavours.

Scott Whitmore returns to the club he grew up at after coaching at Centrals for the last 10 years, he achieved coach of the year honours in 2013 by taking the Lions back to the playoffs for the first time in 22 seasons.  Scott is the current under 20 state coach and was a premiership player at the Warriors in 2000.  As a player he also enjoyed time in the SEABL and professionally in the Netherlands. Scott is a life member of the Warriors and inaugural Hall of Fame inductee, he is one of only two Warriors to have his number retired, the other is Cameron Wilson.

"Its great to have Scott back in an officially capacity, we are more than confident that he will build on what Darnell has put in place this season and take the Warrior men to the next level of success" president Craig Gilbert

"I'm really excited to be back in green, I learnt a lot at Centrals and made some life long relationships, they gave me my first coaching opportunity and I will be forever grateful for that, this does feel like home though and I can't wait to get started.  First order of business is securing the services of Nelson Kirksey again and meeting with all of the players"

"It is then vital that we provide a pathway for  juniors at the club so they can strive to be the next Adam Miller or the next Darren Ng, strong programs are built on the juniors making there way through the system'

Premier League pre season starts on December 1st, we will post articles regarding both senior programs as they come to hand.

Welcome back Scotty!!
