Eastern District Junior Basketball Association
The Eastern District Junior Basketball Association (EDJBA) is a not for profit, community based, basketball association situated in the north eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The Association has a proud history of delivering a successful basketball competition for players from the ages of seven to twenty. At present it caters for more than 10,000 players, making it the largest junior basketball association in Australia.
We are seeking an Admin Assistant/Officer to focus on the coordination of some key responsibilities for the EDJBA competition and work as requested by the Operations Manager and key committee members to achieve allocated functions. The successful applicant will be expected to plan and deliver, as part of a team, all aspects of the current Junior Domestic basketball competition. The role will provide administrative support to all the Association’s programs to ensure they grow and prosper.
Key accountabilities include but not limited to:
Supporting the Operations Manager & Competitions Administrator as required.
This could include:
- Identifying illegal players
- Applying Special Requests as received.
- Uploading results.
- Collating qualified players
- Allocation of courts to the competition
- Be responsible for the collation of team registrations
- Fixturing games
Applicants will need to demonstrate strong Microsoft Excel skills. The ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks and be self motivated are traits that are highly desirable.
This is a part time position of 720 hours spread over a 48-week working year. There is requirement to be available some Saturday nights and Sundays, usually working from home. Salary will be based on skills and experience. Applicants will be required to have a Working with Children’s check.
