-       National Police Check
The date on your NPC must be less than 3 years ago. If this is not the case you must apply for a new check prior to submitting your application. This can be done by following the instructions on our website and can take several weeks to process.

Appointment process
At the closure of applications we will assess each applicant for suitability and allocate roles accordingly. Once this process has concluded we will advise all applicants of their roles, or reasons why they were not appointed to a role.

Prior to finalising your appointment we will conduct a DCSI working with children check. This will be processed and paid for by the SA Country office and your cooperation will be required. If you already had one of these conducted in the last 3 years please upload a copy at the end of this application as DCSI will not process a new one for 3 years.

You will be sent a link to online induction training to ensure you are familiar with our policies, procedures and expectations that must be completed promptly.

Only once the induction is completed and we have received confirmation from DCSI that you do not pose a risk to the safety of children will your appointment be finalised. We appreciate that this is a more drawn out process than in previous years and thank you for your cooperation.

If you do not wish to complete the full process please do not submit an application.

Expectation on attendance:
Coaches will be expected to attend all training sessions and tournaments for the team they are appointed to. If you cannot commit to this please do not apply without speaking to your Player & Coach Development Officer.

Managers will be expected to attend at least 1 training for Country Cup or Southern Cross Challenge and at least 2 training sessions for National Championships. If you cannot commit to this please do not apply without speaking to the SA Country office staff.

All relevant dates are included in the calendar of events available here. More detailed training and competition dates are available on our website.

Please note that with all tournaments and camps that coaches and managers are expected to stay in the team accommodation. We have a duty of care to the athletes and the number of coaches and managers is crucial to meeting this duty. If you are unable to stay with the team as required please do not apply without speaking to your Player and Coach Development Officer or the SA Country office staff.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
