Hawks Have High Hopes For Recruit
If the Ringwood Lady Hawks hoped for a positive way to start the New Year, well their hopes have definately come true with the signing of former WNBL star Hope Terdich for the 2020 NBL1 season.
In what is becoming an exciting new look roster for Ringwood, Terdich is going to provide a great foundation for Coach Tim Mottin to build on with her ability to score inside and out. Mottin has been a long time Coach and friend of Terdich’s from her days in juniors and is clearly excited to get a chance to Coach her again as a senior player and leader.
“I have known Hope for many many years and have always tried to get her to Ringwood.” Mottin said,
“It is great to finally get her and at a time she is ready to really produce.”
The 190cm Forward/Centre has plans to work her way back in to the WNBL next season and the Hawks will be the beneficiary of a player ready to impress on and off the court. Last year Terdich was a major part of the Diamond Valley Eagles offence averaging 16.3 points per game and nearly 8 rebounds, and is gearing up for an even bigger season with the Hawks.
Along her basketball journey so far, Terdich represented Australia as a junior and has played at Bulleen (WNBL), Dandenong (WNBL), Kilsyth (SEABL), Diamond Valley (NBL1) and Melbourne Tigers. Terdich joins Kate Spillane, Danni Bone and Toni Farnworth as confirmed signings for 2020.
