Hawk Latham Healthy and Hungry in 2020
At the end of the 2013 Big V season, Trevor Latham decided to walk away from Basketball, the sport he had loved all his life. Then just four weeks in to his “Retirement,” Latham answered a message from Matthew Snow and quickly he was out of retirement and was a Hawk.
This year, the Hawks big man returns for his 7th season.
Latham has always been a quiet achiever for the Hawks providing his team with a consistent impact off the bench. In last year’s NBL1, the 6’8 Centre started the season on fire but was injured in a round 3 game against Kilsyth and missed the next 10 games. He returned to action late in the season but was still hampered by a deep bone bruise.
Despite all the setbacks, Latham averaged close to 9 points and 6 rebounds per game, shooting the ball at 58% from the field.
“We are really hoping for a massive 2020 for Trev, he is capable of doing it too.” Hawks Coach Ken Harrington said.
“He will be back to 100% and has shown he can be one of the best Centre’s in NBL1 when he is switched on.”
