Dielemans Calls It A Day

Ask any Coach how they would like to finish their Coaching tenure at a Club they have been for a long time and we are pretty sure the answer will always be “By winning a Championship.”

Hawks long time Youth Championship Women’s and Under 21 Girls Coach Rob Dielemans did exactly that on Friday night leading his girls to their first VC State Championship just days after declaring he will not Coach the Youth Girls in 2020.

Rob joined the Hawks as Sam Belt’s Assistant Coach of the YLCW team but was quickly handed the reigns when Sam returned to Oklahoma in 2013. And he never looked back.

From day one, Rob’s passion and determination shone through as he embraced the new challenge. If you were on his team, he was going to challenge you and make you work hard. He was going to push you and help you develop. Rob is a competitor and he makes sure his team competes and competes hard.

Nobody could ever question Rob’s dedication to his team and the Club. He is always willing to help others and his love for the sport of Basketball and the Hawks has always been clear to see. We hope that never changes.

Whether it is coaching the Under 16 Boys, Under 21 Girls or Youth League Women, Rob has done it and done it very well and many kids over the years would still to this day be very grateful for his guidance on and off the court.

From everyone at the Ringwood Hawks would like to thank Rob for his tireless efforts at the Hawks and we wish him nothing but the best for whatever he chooses to do in the future.
