Fees for the current summer season (2019/20) will be issuing shortly at a reduced amount taking into account that players are now paying the player registration fee directly to Basketball SA. The BSA registration fees varies slightly by age groups but this has been averaged out across all players for consistency in our fee structure.

As the registration fee covers the full year the reduction is also being split across both the summer 2019/20 and winter 2020 seasons. For this reason the reduction may not be as large as you were expecting.

There is some work currently underway looking at the possibility of having mid week training fees rolled into the season fees. There are a number of good reasons for doing this including:-

  • The Club will become responsible for collecting fees rather than team managers or coaches possibly being out of pocket
  • Reduces the need for team managers to be handling cash
  • Payments to venues hiring the courts will be done in a timely manner

However, training fees will not be rolled into the 2019/20 summer season as we are still establishing availability for mid week training at the Lights.

For this reason teams will need to pay current accounts as they have in the past.

If a decision is made to include mid week training fees into the winter 2020 season fees we will advise you.
