At the end of July, Jason Joynes announced to the Club and players that he would be unable to continue as the Premier League coach for the 2020 year. He has said…

"Unfortunately I will be unable to continue as coach of the North Adelaide Rockets Women’s Premier League team for the coming 2020 season. Going forward I have some challenging personal matters and work commitments and I will need to focus my efforts on these. Given the time required to prepare for and manage the demands of all that the head coaching position requires, it is with regret that I will not have this time available.

I would like to thank the players for their efforts this year, especially given the injury and illness that affected our playing list. However, in light of this, you have all embraced the opportunities the extra challenges provided you and demonstrated enormous development in your individual and team games. I encourage you all to keep working hard and help continue this development into the 2020 season.

All the very best next year and beyond."

Regards, Jason Joynes

The Club would like to take this opportunity to wish Jason well with his future challenges and thank him for his efforts during 2019.

While this is disappointing the Club is happy to announce the return of Brenton Johnston. Brenton is looking forward to returning and getting back into training after the girls take a short but well-earned break.
