NABC Men's Premier League Pre Season

Premier League Pre Season

The Men's Premier League team has been in "pre season" training mode for several weeks now under the guidance of Senior Coach Nathan Hawkes, Assistant Steve Denton and fitness expert Matt Sparkman. With 21 eager participants enduring 3 tough sessions per week since just after Xmas, fitness levels are improving rapidly, evidenced by results in time trials and strength testing.

The squad is a mixture of experience and rookies with names like Tom Rowe, Brett Collins and Luke Mapunda in the Senior category and Madit Daniel, Jake Crammond and Ngor Daniel in the rookie class.

There's further good news with John Wernham back in full training after suffering a broken bone in his hand last year, Adam Schild looking bigger and stronger than ever, Daniel Goodluck looking to build on his great 2014, and Luke Pike seems to have taken a big step forward. Also good to see Josh Bond taking great strides as he continues his impressive recovery. To add to this, our new import Aric Miller is only a few weeks away from arriving, and expectations are high for a big impact on the team's success.

The new and revised Premier League starts mid March, with the number of minor round games increased to 22. A return to finals action is on the cards for North Adelaide Rockets.

You get your chance to meet this year's squad at the NABC Extravaganza Day on the 21st of February at Hillcrest. Come and meet the players, have a chat, get a photo and an autograph, or maybe some advice on how to improve your game !!!!!!

Go Rockets.
