MATCH REPORT: Rollerhawks vs Spinning Bullets

On their home court the Rollerhawks have got their 2014 season off to the perfect start with a 57-41 win over the QLD RSL Spinning Bullets.

The injection of new blood is refreshing for Rollerhawks fans as new comers Michael Auprince (13 points, 12 rebounds) and Adam Deans (6 points, 10 rebounds) both looked comfortable at their new homes. Last season’s runners up have some real depth in combinations off the bench and look like the early favourites in 2014.

Tom Oneill-Thorne was super impressive for the Spinning Bullets leading all scorers for the game and although only playing limited minutes for the game, QLD seem to have found a player in Jake Fulwood who went at almost a point per minute. They’ll benefit for the hit out and look and will bounce back against Victoria in tomorrow’s game.

Leading Scorers:

Rollerhawks – Brett Stibners (13), Michael Auprince (13)

Spinning Bullets – Tom O’Neill-Thorne (15)

Best Players:

Rollerhawks – Michael Auprince, Luke Pople

Spinning Bullets – Jordan Bartley, Tom O’Neill-Thorne
