MATCH REPORT: Victoria vs Wheelkings
A new look Victoria got their 2014 season off to a perfect start with a comfortable 31 point win over the Sydney Uni Wheelkings.
A 13-0 point run to start the game set the tone for the Victorians as they welcomed back Jannik Blair and Shawn Russell on debut. After much anticipation Tristan Knowles did not make his much anticipated debut but he wasn’t needed as Daniel Del Toso led the way with 23 points and 13 boards.
Despite the exodus of high pointers in the offseason the Wheelkings would be encouraged by the performance of Josh Christian. The ready made replacement had 10 points and while he’ll want to increase his efficiency, he did look very good in his first game with the Wheelkings.
