It’s been all smiles down at Warrandyte during June with three straight wins and leading the way was import Chastity Reed with averages of 20.7pts, 13rbs, 5ast, 2.3stl and 1blk per game. Beating home an impressive list of talented players including Colleen Planeta, Carly Mijovic, Olivia Bontempelli and Ella Hellessey, the Venom’s former WNBA player grabs her first award for the season.
D1 MEN PLAYER OF THE MONTH - MARTINO BROCK (Sponsored by Johnco Constructions)
Brock was superb in leading the Venom revival in June, averaging exactly 30ppg to go with 14.5rpg and 3spg to boot. The import shot the ball at 48% and had a high of 39 points in a win over Melbourne University, in which he was the only player from either side to reach double digits in a remarkable effort.

The Venom went 3 of 4 for the month of June and it was with thanks to Ellie Locke and her outstanding performances. Still sitting pretty on the top perch the Venom are rolling into finals. Even after a shock loss to the team in June, there was one player that stood out through the ups and the one down. Liam Evans was a force to be reckoned with throughout the Venom’s 3 games across June and racked up high stats in 4 categories. Averaging 22.7 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 3 APG and 1.7 SPG, Liam Evans has been the perfect go to guy for the Venom and will continue to be so.
