VOA Champions Thankful

FASANOC's Voice Of The Athletes Champions program conducted their last outreach of the year 2016 at the FIBA U18 Oceania Basketball Championship held in Suva, Fiji last week.

Led by VOA Co-ordinator Jeegar Bhavsar, the team advocated to basketball teams from Guam, Australia, New Caledonia, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Tahiti and Fiji.

VOA Champion Tailah Ah Yuk said the outreach allowed them to discuss a range of topics that affected athletes.

"These include our Play Safe, Anti doping, Go Green, and Stay Healthy program," she said.

"So we were fortunate to be well received by athletes that attended our booths."

"So we would like to thank all the participants at this years last outreach."

Jeegar said participant enjoyed four informative stations that allowed athletes to interact closely with VOA Champions.

"Because these athletes were 18 years old, their interest in our program was very encouraging" he said.

FASANOC's VOA Champions was formerly known as the STOP Champions program.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
