Masters 'Master' Basketballers 70+years WANTED
Kia ora – you will be well aware that NZ is hosting the next World Masters and it is being held in Auckland next April. In Wellington we have a strong Masters group and are entering 2-3 teams. I have entered a men’s team in the 70+ grade and we have 5 players from our Wellington group. We need to recruit another 5 – 7 to enable us to survive this tournament.
This email has been sent to all 36 Associations as we realise the 70+ Basketballer is a rare species. We would really appreciate it if you put this on your website, or your next newsletter, or even pin it on a good old fashioned notice board. The requirements for anyone wishing to join our team are:
- 1. They must be alive
- 2. They must have 2 legs capable of not only holding themselves upright but also able to move one foot in front of the other
- 3. They must have played basketball before, sometime in the last 50-60 years
- 4. The must be passionate about the game
- 5. They must be aged 70 or over by the end of 2017
