MFL Final Squad

The Metro Football League has announced its final squad in the lead-up to this year’s MFL vs HFA association game

The anticipated clash will take place this Sunday, 9 July 2.30pm at Mundaring Oval, Mundaring.

League leading goal kickers Arthur Bropho (54 Goals) and Brighton Seahawks forward Stan Shea (37 Goals) will spearhead the forward line.

In addition, and after bagging 10 goals against Koongamia in Round 11, Safety Bay, Jaimon Barron (32 Goals) and Division 2 leading goal kicker Jordan Beck (35 Goals) will provide some goal scoring options.

2015 Brighton Seahawks Mercantile Shield winning coach and 2017 MFL Coach Scott McCartney is very excited about the balance of the side.

“We have strong representation form both Division 1 and Division 2 sides” said McCartney

“I think that by having all all 9 club represented shows the depth in both divisions of the MFL” added McCartney 

“Our forward structure is solid and we have some great midfielders that can run both ways….. on top of a very attacking back line that will make anyside accountable” added concluded McCartney.

McCartney will be supported by Baldivis coach Jamie Debono, Innaloo coach Jake Lockyer and Brighton Seahawks assistant coach Brian Gryszan.

The captain of the 2017 MFL representative side is Queens premiership captain Jake Foster.

He will be adequately deputized by Brighton Seahawk Captain Justin Melidonis and Warwick Greenwood captain Casey Haw.

The main game will be Preceded by a AFL Master’s game featuring the HFA and the Eastern Hills Cats, starting a 12.45pm.

Whilst there is no charge for entry in to the game, Mt Helena will run a fully licensed bar and canteen. STRICTLY NO BYO
