A large crowd of over 300 players, parents and volunteers gathered at Kedron Wavell Services Club last night for the 2017 AFL Brisbane Juniors Gala Awards. For those who could not attend the night, joined over 1000 live stream YouTube viewers, who were able to watch from the comfort of their couch.
Redland’s Miller Rose took home the AFL Brisbane Juniors O’Callaghan Medal, the top honour for polling the most votes in any division. Runners up and George Turnbull Medal winners, Beenleigh’s Saige Burnham and Narangba’s Carter Simpson both will finish their season with 33 votes.
Brisbane Juniors Ambassador Liam Dawson and Lions players Jake Barrett and Breanna Koenen were also in attendance for the evening, presenting multiple awards. Please see attachment for a list of all award winners.
