Koror State Team leads in Gold Medal and Overall

The 2009 Belau Games baseball was taken by Ngaremlengui State, taking the gold from a more dominating Koror State.  Basketball team was between Koror, Peleliu and Melekeok - with the champion trophy to Koror Men Basketball Team and Peleliu State Women taking the Gold from Koror.  In the Indoor volleyball, Peleliu State Men volleyball team garnered the gold medal from Koror and vice versa for the women's team....Koror Women taking the gold from Peleliu State.  The individual events highlights was the Reklai sibblings taking both the 100m sprint gold to female sprinter Bella Reklai and her brother Rivers Reklai taking the gold medal from male 100msprint event.  The ocean event of Outrigger canoeing was dominated by the Ngardmau men's team, while women was taken away from the Koror State women team winning the sprint event and longdistance women went to Team Melekeok.  For more results of the games link to the Belau Games Website.
