By James Woite

North Adelaide Rockets (15-6) v Sturt Sabres (11-10)

A loss to the Rockets at Hillcrest could end the Sabres’ season.

The Sabres earned a crucial victory over Forestville on Sunday which keeps them in the mix for the top five. They also lost to Woodville on Saturday.

The Rockets finished last weekend 1-1 and are locked into second spot.

The Rockets lead the season series 1-0.

South Adelaide Panthers (11-10) v Southern Tigers (5-16)

The Panthers will definitely be headed to the finals if they defeat the Tigers at Marion.

The Panthers are on the same number of wins as West and Sturt but hold the tiebreaker over both sides. They featured just once last weekend, where they beat Woodville for the first time in their three game series.

The Tigers lost both their matches over the weekend and now face the prospect of ending the season on 11 straight defeats.

The Tigers lead the season series 1-0.

West Adelaide Bearcats (11-10) v Forestville Eagles (7-14)

A win over the Eagles at Port Adelaide may not be enough for the Bearcats to play finals.

The Bearcats are one win behind Woodville and are on the same number of wins as South and Sturt. At least one of those clubs must lose for the Bearcats to play finals due to their record in tiebreakers. The Bearcats earned a positive result against Southern last Saturday, but fell to Norwood last Sunday.

The Eagles went 1-1 last weekend and will definitely finish eighth.

The Bearcats lead the season series 1-0.

Woodville Warriors (12-9) v Eastern Mavericks (9-12)

The Warriors can secure a double chance if they can beat the Mavericks at St Clair.

The Warriors went 1-1 last weekend, meaning they will definitely make their long-awaited appearance in the postseason, but their seed is to be confirmed.

The Mavericks beat Southern on Sunday, leaving them in seventh place.

The Warriors lead the season series 1-0.

Central District Lions (3-18) v Norwood Flames (21-0)

In the only match to have no bearing on finals positions, the Flames take their unbeaten record to Starplex to face the Lions.

The Flames swept aside North and West last weekend. They now have the chance to end the regular season unbeaten for the second time in three years.

The Lions suffered close losses to Forestville and North last weekend. They are guaranteed of winning the Wooden Spoon.

The Flames lead the season series 1-0.
