Lepani Naivalu, who represented Fiji at the Inaugural Singapore Youth Olympic Games in Athletics in the 100m event held last week was selected as Member of the Oceania Boys Medley Relay Team.

Lepani started the relay running the 100m and helped the Oceania Boys Medley Relay Team win a Bronze Medal in a time of 1.52.71 - 0.6sec behind Europe which won the Silver Medal and 1.43sec behind Americas which won the Gold.

The Oceania Team were seeded in lane 6 and were 0.74 secs ahead of Africa who were 4th.

This is an excellent result as only one of the 4 team members was a Gold medalist during
the Games in the 110m Hurdles but ran the 300m leg in the Relay.

This was the first time the four youngsters raced together.
