Rowville Secondary College win Champion School at Schools Cup One Day event

Rowville Secondary College have been awarded the Championship School shield as the most successful school of the 2017 Volleyball Victoria Schools Cup - One Day Event.

The 2017 Schools Cup - One Day Event was held over Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 May and saw 86 teams from 20 schools compete in this fantastic school volleyball tournament.

The Championship School awarded is determined by the 6 best placed teams from each school with a gold medal finish being awarded 10 points, silver and bronze receiving 6 and 3 points respectively. Rowville Secondary College recevied 52 points with four of their teams winning a gold medal.

Rowville Secondary College were closely followed by last years Champion School - Upwey High School (48 points) and Maribyrnong College (37 points).

This is the second Champion School award for Rowville Secondary College this year, having already won the Champion School at the 2017 Beach Schools Cup in March.

Attention now turns to the upcoming Volleyball Victoria Schools Cup - Three Day Event which will run from the 28-30 July. Online entries are open now (closing on the 26 June).
