Eagles after Day 1

Keep an eye out for all Diamond Valley Eagles teams this weekend throughout the Tournament. Make sure to cheer them on wherever you are!
How did some teams go after Day 1?

U12-2 Boys
Under 12 B1 North (Eltham)

Under 12 2's have won both games so far, defeating both Werribee and Keilor.  Another game tonight and 2 more on Saturday. Looking very positive!

U12-3 Boys:

Under 12 B2 (Eltham)

U12/3 boys won all 3 games each by only 2 points including an exciting buzzer beater win in the first game and a goal scored in the final minute of the last match of the day.

U12-6 Boys
Under 12 C3 North (Eltham)

The boys have gone down in the both games on Thursday. They fought hard until the end in both games and were a couple of players down.

U14-3 Boys
Under 14 B1 North (Eltham)

DV U14(3) boys have so far yet to win a game however the margins were only 2 and 3 points. The boys are putting up a fight and working together as a team to give it all they have. Let's go boys!

U16-4 Boys
Under 16 B3 (Eltham)

Under 16.4 Boys got off to a shaky start against Collingwood 16.3 at Diamond Valley but once the boys dusted off the Cobwebs, we controlled the game to Win 29 – 11.
We backed up again at 7pm to play a big and strong unit in Broadmeadows Under 16.1. They were too tall and physical for us but the boys showed character coming within 4 points with 2 mins to go but going down 30 - 37.

U14-4 Girls
Under 14 C1 (Eltham)

The girls are sitting in top spot after winning both games on Day 1 against Wallan and Bulleen. They are back home Friday night for a game against Eltham!

U18-1 Girls
Under 18 A

Game 1
A rusty start as holidays turned into gut running... but the girls fought hard to lead for the majority of the game against Altona. In a nail biting finish we went down by 1. Good early signs for the upcoming season.

Game 2 saw the girls take on the DV 18 2s. Recent history suggested another tough game but with a sting in their tail from game 1, the 1s were able to overpower the 2s with a dominant 4 quarter performance.
