Recently we shared a video of the heart-warming and inspirational story of Harrison Zoch’s first basket in the Diamond Valley Basketball Association Domestic competition for the Apollo Rockets. The story was one of persistence, belief and teamwork and captured the hearts and minds of over 50,000 people whom the story reached. Many shared the post from our Facebook page or website, and gave glowing words of support for Harrison and some shared their own tales of challenges faced with family members dealing with Auditory Processing Disorder (APD).

Harrison’s breakthrough basket caught the interest of global sporting goods company, PEAK Sport Australia. PEAK Sport is a Chinese company that manufactures sporting goods worldwide - providing 6 countries’ Olympic apparel, 14 countries’ National Team Basketball uniforms (including Australia and NZ), a number of Euroleague Basketball Team’s uniforms, as well as sponsoring 15 NBA players including Dwight Howard and Tony Parker.

The aforementioned Tony Parker has a hot-selling signature shoe that is available on the Australian market, and the folks at PEAK Sport Australia were so inspired and touched by Harrison’s story and his Apollo Rockets teammates’ support that they donated a brand new pair of Tony Parker signature shoes, a PEAK backpack, PEAK socks and a PEAK water bottle (over $170 worth of value) to Harrison and each of his teammates.

Last week, Ben Harvey and David Cordwell from PEAK Sport Australia visited Diamond Valley to present Harrison and his Apollo Rockets teammates with their new gear and it was fair to say the boys thought Christmas came early !

The kids and their families were overwhelmed with receiving fresh-out-of-the box Tony Parker Basketball shoes and the other products given to them.

We at the Diamond Valley Basketball Association, and on behalf of Harrison, his team and the Apollo Rockets Basketball Club would like to extend our gratitude for the generosity of PEAK Sport Australia’s product donations. The boys will wear their Tony Parker shoes around Diamond Valley with pride and be well equipped to perform at their best on a Saturday with the high quality of the product they’ve received.
