The Diamond Valley Basketball Association (DVBA) is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Sponsorship and Event Manager.

DVBA is one of the biggest basketball associations north of Melbourne. Based in Greensborough, it sees more than 6,000 members participate in the game of basketball, each day of the week and proudly participates in the VJBL, Big V and NBL1 competitions.

A newly created role, the Sponsorship and Event Manager will be a results-driven sales professional who is primarily focused on driving new revenue streams into the DVBA, specifically through obtaining sponsorship for our senior programs (Big V/NBL1).

In addition, the ability to manage and develop relationships with corporate partners and key stakeholders, oversee the running of game day events, implement programs to maximise member attendance at games and assist DVBA in presenting a professionally executed and entertaining senior program, will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities include:

• Seeking out, engaging and converting prospects into sponsor partners;

• Developing existing sponsor agreements, focusing on achieving repeat business and upselling opportunities;
• Building strong relationships with sponsor partners to fully understand their needs and follow through on agreed benefits;
• Promoting the sale of membership packages to the association’s member database;
• Promoting game day events via the association’s website and social media platforms, as well as broader media;
• Managing game day events;
• Networking with corporate partners and key stakeholders at game day events.
