The Splashers continued their dominance over the Ultimate Civic, knocking off an in form Uni Hill team. Perimeter shooting has become The Splashers greatest strength, this time hitting 16 shots from behind the 3 point line! They were led by James Guley who hit 7 of his own 3 pointers on his way to 25 points for the game. He was well supported by Sam Wheelan (22 points) and Christian Yammouni (17 points) as the team put on an offensive display! For Uni Hill, Josh Grubb (3rd in the league for points per game) had 23 of his own, while Ernst Kruger put in 19.

8.00PM Redbacks 76 def. No Big Deal 47

 

The Redbacks are very much in the hunt for finals this season, and made easy work of No Big Deal. No Big Deal was able to keep the game competitive for the first half, but only managed 4 points in the 3rd quarter. The Redbacks shared the love, with 4 out of 5 players getting in double figures for points, led by Mark Herring’s 25. Heath Hay returned to the Civic league for the first time this season, pouring in 18 points. Justin Littlewood put in a good showing for No Big Deal, with 19 points and three 3 pointers.

8.55PM St Mary’s 60 def. by Greenhills 71

 

Greenhills grinded out a win over the Sharks to level their season series at 1-1. The Beavers showed level heads in the 4th quarter, extending their 3 quarter time lead of 5 early in the 4th and never looking back. Luke Egan had 25 points for the Beavers and Jeremy Datson had 23 of his own. For the Sharks, Mark Girolami led team with 22 points.
