WAWRZYNIAK RE-SIGNS !
Big V State Championship Women’s Veteran Selena Wawrzyniak returns to the Eagles – bringing her experience, toughness and leadership to the young roster in 2016.
In her 3rd year with the Eagles, Wawrzyniak is well placed continue to increase her on and off court influence for the Eagles – as she gets better acclimated with the style of play designated by Coach Dee Butler.
Wawrzyniak’s averages last season were slightly down from the year prior, averaging 4.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game – however she shows a consistency in her activity, always contributing statistically solid outputs relative to her minutes played.
‘I’m happy that yet another of our ‘blue collar’ workers has returned for the coming season. Selena is experienced in this league and will continue to lead our group by example with her work ethic. Selena is a good person and good fit for our team and I’m very happy to have her sign on again’, Head Coach Dee Butler said.
DVBA CEO, Ross Wignell adds ‘It is very pleasing to see Selena return for her third year with the Eagles. Her maturity and influence on our relatively young team will be vital. A very consistent player, along with Nikki, we expect Selena to lead this team.’
