BUZZER BEATER OVER HUME CITY
Last Sunday our Senior Women and Men took on the Hume City Broncos.
The feature of the afternoon was a Buzzer Beater 3 pointer from Luke Valentine to take the Senior Men to their 5th win of the season!

The Eagles who are coming off a magnificent win against Hume City at Hume last week where Luke Valentine hit a triple after the buzzer to break a 92 all deadlock. The Eagles held a two point lead until Hume City gathered an offensive rebound and made the put back tying the scores. Jamaal Brown also drew a foul but was unable to convert the ensuing free throw. The Eagles pushed the ball with 12 seconds left and after a slight mishap the ball found its way to Valentine who launched the winning shot with .08 on the clock.
For the Eagles, Sammy Gazzo was on fire with 27 points at 73% to go with three assists and two steals. Matt Fennell had 17 points and nine boards, Nathan Truman had 17 points and three boards and Brett Fennell also chipped in with 12 points at 63%. The Eagles led 58-51 at the half before shooting themselves in the foot in the third quarter letting Hume City go into the final change with a 7 point lead. The Eagles pressure defense got them back into this one and in frantic last two minutes that erased an eight point deficit and got the win.
