OPEN DAY A HIT FOR OUR FUTURE BASKETBALL STARS
Last Sunday afternoon, over 50 players attended the DVBA U/8 open day at the Diamond Valley Sports and Fitness Centre. The young basketballers from our domestic clubs were taken through the various skills required to help them enjoy the game as they begin their journey into organised basketball.
Our Junior Championship coaches and several of their club coaches were on the floor helping guide the young players for the afternoon from the skills station work (Passing, ball handling, shooting and defensive positioning) to full court games.
Overall it was a fantastic afternoon with the enthusiastic players, coaches and parents and I look forward to seeing you all at the next open day. Stay tuned for future events ……
