Ultimate Civic League Wrap – 2018 Round 3



Round 3 was a week for blowouts, with some high scores being put up! Still very early, but 3 teams have come forward as likely favourites this season.




7.05PM No Big Deal 51 def. by The Splashers 85


The new kids on the block, No Big Deal, have suffered a 2nd consecutive blowout loss. This time, it came at the hands of the athletic Splashers. Christian Yammouni put the league on notice, dropping 30 points (half of which come from behind the 3 point line!). No Big Deal was left with 4 players on the court after Jordan hutchinson fouled out, leavign The Splashers to pull out a big win. Ryan Starrett had a solid game, with 15 points in the loss.

8.00PM St. Mary’s 60 def. by Uni Hill 80


The undermanned Sharks could not not contain the size of Uni Hill, with a 20 point loss to continue there inconsistent start to the season. Evan Solokidis had the hot hand, finishing with 19 points including five 3 pointers. A few late cheap points to lukas Kafritsas had him finish with 16 points for the game. Uni Hill put together a 2nd straight big win, showing great form early this year.

8.55PM Greenhills 78 def. Redback 42


A couple of big name recruits led Greenhills to a massive 36 point win. Darcy Harding had 35, as he got used to the Diamond Valley rings. A cruisey night for the Beavers, Jeremy Datson had 16 points including two 3 pointers, as they showed why they are Civic League favourites! Peter Hayman was the shining light for the Redbacks, with 14 points, as they struggled to contain the offensive juggernaut that is Greenhills.
