Darcy Harding signs on for 2018!

The Diamond Valley Basketball Association is excited to announce the latest addition to our SEABL roster, with Darcy Harding joining the Eagles for 2018.

Growing up in Moruya in country New South Wales, Darcy rose through the ranks of the BNSW pathway and had high hopes of reaching the national level. It wasn’t long before the athletic forward was offered a position with the Albury Wodonga Bandits in SEABL, where he averaged 3.6 points per game and 2 rebounds per game in his first season. Since then, he has never looked back.

In 2016 his dream became a reality when he was offered a development position with the Sydney Kings in the NBL. Darcy thrived in the professional basketball environment and his game went to a new level. In the 2017 SEABL season Darcy averaged 11.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. His best game came in round 6 against the Hobart Charges where he netted 18 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished off 4 assists.

Now Darcy is looking to continue his improvement with the Eagles.

“I’m very excited and thankful for another year playing SEABL especially with a new team to the league. I think DV will be a great opportunity to progress my game with the coaching staff and players around me. On court I will bring a scorers mentality and the ability to play and guard multiple positions on the floor.”

Head Coach of the SEABL men, Grant Wallace, is excited about the experience and versatility Darcy brings to the Eagles.

“Darcy is a wonderful addition to our roster.  He is a seasoned SEABL player with a wonderful ability to create.  A versatile athletic player who can play inside and out, run the floor and rebound well and can most importantly defend bigs or guards.   Critically he is a wonderful person and team player with a desire to work hard to progress to the next level - these traits are vital for our success in 2018 and beyond.”

Be sure to come and support Darcy and your Eagles as they take on the SEABL competition. General memberships are available and start as low as $10. For more information please follow the link http://websites.sportstg.com/get_file.cgi?id=36363612, email zoe@dvbasketball.com.au or call 9432 4720
