The Riddell District Football Netball League’s Central Highlands Regional State League netball sides face a tough challenge in their second round RSL match-ups tonight, taking on reigning RSL premiers the Ballarat Football Netball League at Llanberis Netball Centre in Ballarat.
The Open contest takes on a bit of a “grudge match” feel after the Riddell District FNL topped the BFNL in their annual “Challenge Match” in 2013, and after the BFNL bested the Maryborough & Castlemaine District FNL in a hard-fought match last week, the RDFNL side will need to be at its best should it wish to notch its second win in as many weeks after easily accounting for Eureka Netball Club last week.
The Open match will be played at 7:15pm at Llanberis Netball Centre, Eureka Street, Ballarat.
The 17 & Under game should also be a beauty, with both the ACU Ballarat FNL and the Riddell District FNL’s junior sides having posted victories last week. A strong start will be the key for the RDFNL after starting slowly before overpowering Eureka last week, with the winner of tonight’s game assuming the title of competition title favourites.
The 17 & Under match will be played at 8:30pm at Llanberis Netball Centre, Eureka Street, Ballarat.
