All teams currently participating in our Tuesday Night Women's comp would have received, via their team contact a letter from GM Steve Smith regarding our plans for women's basketball.

We are very keen to recruit more players ands teams to the competition and will be actively recruiting over the next two weeks to do so.

At the same time, to give a bit of variety to the teams already playing, our regular competiton schedule will be suspended and in place of your regular one hour game, for the next 2 weeks you will be taking part in 3 shortened games in your 1 hour timeslot.

All our teams have been split into 2 division (important note: these division have nothing to do with our past or future plans for the women's comp.)

During your game time, you will play 2 x 8 minute halves against another team.  A scoresheet will be available for this game and we will score the game.
At the end of this game you will either stay on the same court or move to another court where you will play another team in 2 x 8 minute halves using another scoresheet, and then at the end of your second game you will either stay on the court to face a third opponent, or move to another court to do so (also on a separate scoresheet).

Game fees for your three games will remain unchanged from normal competition and we will supply referees for your game as per normal proceedures.

Blitz games are "no pointscore" rounds and will not impact on your standing in the competition you are presently playing.

The "Blitz" format proved very popular when we conducted it last month in both our Primary and High School competitions and we hope that you will enjoy this "different' version of Tuesday Night basketball for the next 2 weeks.

We anticipate that the draw for the 2 weeks of the 'Blitz' will be on our website under the "Draws and Results" tab by the COB today>

We would appreciate any help you can lend us in recruiting new players and teams and if you have any ideas on how we can do so, please let our office or the court supervisor know ASAP!
