Chudier Pal departs for SEABL Opportunity

CHUDIER PAL DEPARTS FOR SEABL OPPORTUNITY

The Rockingham Flames can today announe that Chudier Pal will not be signing with the Rockingham Flames for the upcoming 2017 season.

Chudier has reached an agreement with the North West Tasmanian Thunder in the SEABL competion, which is considered the Premier Basketball Competition on the East Coast of Australia.

Chudier has been a fantastic servant and representative of the club both on and off the court.

Chudier began his basketball journey as a junior within the Rockingham Flames program. He quickly excelled and demonstrated a great desire to better himself as a basketballer every day. He then found himself plying his trade in the US and graduating from the University of North Carolina Asheville. He then returned home and proved a pivotal piece in our Men's team 2016 season, averaging 14 points and 14 rebounds. As of late Chudier was a training player for the Perth Wildcats.

"I'd like to thank the club for everything it has helped me with over the course of the years. It's always good to have a sense of belonging and I'm glad I can say I have that with Rockingham. I wish the club all the best for this year" Chudier Said.

Sam Armstrong, Head Coach of the Tasmanian side, is looking forward to welcoming the Rockingham Junior into his team. "Our club is very excited to have Chudier join our team for the 2017 season. Chudier will be a welcomed addition to our team as we look to strengthen our front court. We are pleased to be able to provide Chudier with an opportunity to challenge himself at SEABL level whilst also acquiring another quality individual to our playing group.

Brad Samuelson, Head Coach for the Men's Rockingham SBL team is hopeful we can see Chudier return to a Rockingham uniform down the track. "While we are saddened that Chuds isn't a part of our program for 2017 we are excited for him and this opportunity and wish him nothing but the best in Tasmania. It is always great to see our club's junior players taking on new challenges and he is one who has now experienced the college system in the US and is going to play professionally outside of his local club. On behalf of everyone in the program - Good luck Chudier! We hope to see you back in a Flames Jersey at the Hot House some day soon."

On behalf of everyone within the Rockingham Flames Association we wish Chudier and his new young family the best of luck with his newest endeavor and we look forward to seeing him return in the Flames uniform in the future.
