Melbourne Collegians Lions – U16 National Champions

Melbourne Collegian Lions won gold at the U16 Boys National Aged Championships in Brisbane last weekend with a 9-7 win over UWA City Beach Bears

It was a great game with both teams playing a high standard game worthy of the final

Lions lead throughout with a strong 6-2 first half before Bears hit back hard in the second half but Lions held them out to take the gold

It was a repeat win for the Lions having won the U14 final two years ago - also against City Beach Bears.  No doubt the Bears will be out for revenge at U18 Cships in two years time

WPV congratulates the players, coaches and team managers who have worked hard over the last few months to get this win
