Healesville JFC Take On Youth Girls

The Healesville Junior Football Club will be establishing their own under 18 Youth Girls team in 2010.

Keen to build on their success in having girls play junior football at the club, Healesville hope to recruit twenty girls to play in an all female under 18 Youth Girls competition on Saturday mornings.

In 2009, Nikita Gentle and Georgia Murty (pictured promoting their fundraising efforts in the Mountain View Mail) were selected for the Victorian U16 School Girls team, whilst another Healesville talent, Terezita Turner was an emergency. Upon learning of the vast number of Youth Girls teams in Melbourne, the girls have now taken it upon themselves to set up their own Youth Girls team at Healesville JFC.

It doesn't matter if you've never played football before, as most girls who play have never played. All you need is a desire to make new friends, have a go at playing the game and a have a lot of fun doing so.
