SFL v OSFA Challenge Match

We welcome everyone to the spiritual home of football in Southern Tasmania, North Hobart oval this Saturday for the inaugural challenge match between the Southern Football League and the Old Scholars Football Association.

This is the only men’s football match in the greater Hobart area this Saturday ahead of the AFL at Blundstone Arena, Saturday evening.

In the tradition of our great game we will see the cream of Southern Tasmanian football talent take to the field for a showcase match.

It is always good to create new opportunities for sporting talent to be showcased. Innovations in football such as this new event today help grow and maintain interest in our game.

Today is about football, but it is also about community pride, relationship building and continuing the great tradition of creating local footy hero’s.

On the table are bragging rights - bragging rights which will last until the next clash.

Our valued TFUA umpires also are showcasing a Southern Football first Saturday, with an all-female umpires crew taking the ground for the women’s 12noon game.
