This week’s match of the round is between the unbeaten Huonville Lions up against reigning Premiers New Norfolk at the Lions Den Huonville Oval.
Michael Paul has been in excellent form for the Lions. Huonville Lions were very dominant last week and had 10 more scoring shots than opponent Cygnet. Marcus Parker up forward starred with 5 goals for the Eagles helping notch up there first victory for the season. Other major contributors from the Eagles last week were Josh Clifford, Rohan Heron & Mark Horne.
Sorell were impressive against New Norfolk last week after half time and will look to carry that momentum
Into this week’s home match against traditional rival and Ladder leader Claremont. The Mont had contributors all across the park last week and start a warm favourite this week. The Sharks will be keen to open their account at home against the luckless Robins. In the final match of the round the new look TCA hosts its first match after major ground re development. The Tigers will be very keen to continue on their winning way with victory in there first home match of the season. Cygnet will be looking to rebound going into this match 1win 2 losses. The Port will again look to youngsters to lead from the front, Reardon, Cowen, Coulson, Direen.
In the second of 9 gala days for the season the North Hobart Demons club hosts all four games at the New Town Oval this Sunday.
ROUND 4 Sunday April 22
Lindsifarne Blues v Hobart Tigers 10.30am
Lauderdale v New Norfolk 12noon
North Hobart v Claremont 1.30pm
South East Suns v The PORT 3.00pm
Lindisfarne is expected to be much too strong for the newly Tigers. New Norfolk will be looking for an improvement on the scoreboard against the Lauderdale Bombers this week. The Eagles will need to curb the influence of McManus, Aliendi, Teders and co. North Hobart v Claremont shapes as the match of the round. The Mont have improved in leaps and bounds in the off season whilst the Demons have lost some key players from last year to the TSLW. Demons to prevail by a small margin.
Last match of the day would be expecting the Suns too be too strong over the youthful PORT team.
