2019 Waitaha Coaches Announced

The Canterbury Basketball Association and North Canterbury Basketball Association in conjunction with the Canterbury Basketball Representative Academy would like to announce the U15, U17 & U19 Waitaha Boys & Girls coaches for the 2019 representative season.

These representative coaches will work closely with the Canterbury Basketball Representative Academy head coaches in selecting and preparing the Waitaha teams for Basketball New Zealand’s National Tournaments. Part of this process will have the Waitaha coaches leading and supporting the Summer Development Leagues in Term 4 2018 and Term 1 of 2019. Following this will be the Representative trials and Regional Selection Tournament, and any qualifying games.  The Waitaha National qualified teams will then prepare for their National Tournaments with weekend training camps which will highlight the collaboration of coaching and high performance services.

Part of the Waitaha coach orientation process will include a Coach Development Plan for each Waitaha coach which will contains mentoring and coach development support from the Canterbury Basketball Representative Academy.  The full Canterbury Basketball Representative Academy handbook and annual calendar will be made available in the coming weeks.
