Harbour Basketball will be taking four teams to Melbourne next January to compete in the largest basketball tournament in the Southern Hemisphere:

http://www.elthamtournament.com.au/

These teams will consist of players from across Auckland who competed in this year’s   Under 15 and Under 13 age groups. They will compete in the Under 16 and Under 14 grades at the Melbourne Tournament. Their year of birth will be 2003 or 2005.

The four teams will consist of an U14 Boys and U14 Girls team, an U16 Boys team and an U16 Girls team.

The tournament is the top tournament in Australia with approximately 1600 teams competing each year. Players from clubs in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth all compete each year, and it is a unique opportunity for some of the best young basketballers in New Zealand to play against the best young Australians.

The tournament runs on the Australia Day week each year and coincides with the second week of the Australian Tennis Open. It is a fantastic time to be in Melbourne.

The teams depart on the 22nd January and return on the 29th January.

The cost of the tournament is $2,250 per player. This covers all expenses other than spending money.
