PRESS RELEASE: Lacrosse SA 2018 U18 Girls Coach Appointments

Congratulations, Beth Varga and Olivia Parker – Coaches, U18 SA Girls Team 2018

Lacrosse SA and the Director of Representative Teams, Anita Lewis, is delighted to announce the appointment of Beth Varga and Olivia Parker to the position of Coach with the U18 South Australian Girls Team 2018.

Lacrosse SA was graced with strong applicants to consider for the role, with the appointment decision based on the recommendations of a selection panel which carefully assessed all applicants against the selection criteria.

Both Beth and Olivia bring a wealth of high performance experience having competed at international and state level. The pair will also be mentored throughout the process by one of SA best coaches in Tish Adams, Head Coach Australian Women’s Team 2017, 2013.

Beth an Olivia promise to bring a level of professionalism to the athletic preparation of the team that is rarely seen at this level and the pair will work synergistically with the U19 Australian Women’s program that is about to commence preparations.

The team will commence a comprehensive preparations program shortly as it builds towards the 2018 ALA U18 National Championship, to be held in Adelaide in March/April 2018.

With this appointment Lacrosse SA will now work with the coaches to promptly identify, select and appoint other suitable candidates to supporting roles that may include Assistant Coaches, Managers and medical staff.

On behalf of Lacrosse SA and the South Australian Lacrosse community we congratulate Beth and Olivia on their appointment and whish the Team the best of luck with their preparation and competition.

Kind Regards

Anita Lewis
State Teams Representative
