PRESS RELEASE - Lacrosse SA 2018 U18 Boys Head Coach Appointment

Congratulations, Mark Mangan – Head Coach, U18 SA Boys Team 2018

Lacrosse SA and the Director of Representative Teams, Anita Lewis, is delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Mangan to the position of Head Coach with the U18 South Australian Boys Team 2018.

Lacrosse SA was graced with strong applicants to consider for the role, with the appointment decision based on the recommendations of a selection panel which carefully assessed all applicants against the selection criteria.

Mark brings one of the most comprehensive Lacrosse CV’s to the role with a wealth of college, international, state and club coaching and playing success.  Mark is very familiar with the development of athletes in this age group having held roles as Head Coach of the U19 Australian Men’s Team 2010, Head Coach U15 Lacrosse SA Boys Representative Teams 2015 and Assistant Coach at Adelphi University 1999.  His heavy skill focused approach to coaching has been on display at the Brighton Lacrosse Club for many years and will be integral to success in this role.

The team will commence a comprehensive preparations program shortly as it builds towards the 2018 ALA U18 National Championship, to be held in Adelaide in March/April 2018.

With this appointment Lacrosse SA will now work with the Head Coach to promptly identify, select and appoint other suitable candidates to supporting roles that may include Assistant Coaches, Managers and medical staff.

On behalf of Lacrosse SA and the South Australian Lacrosse community we congratulate Mark on the appointment and whish the Team the best of luck with their preparation and competition.

Kind Regards

Anita Lewis
State Teams Representative
