SEE the best of the best in women’s football under lights at Victoria University Whitten Oval for free when the Western Bulldogs host Melbourne on Saturday.
The game will kick off at 7.10pm, with entry free to all attendees.
The match will be televised live on Channel 7 from 7pm.
There will be a Youth Girls All Stars Curtain raiser played at 4.30pm before Auskick Grid Games commence on the ground at 6pm.
At half-time an AFL 9’s match will be played and at the conclusion of the match the winning team will be presented with the Hampson-Hardeman Cup.
The Cup honours female football pioneers Barb Hampson and Lisa Hardeman. The duo set-up the first women’s national championships back in 1998.
There will be no parking available at VU Whitten Oval.
Public transport is the best option with West Footscray train station located 100m from the venue.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the venue. Western Bulldogs and Melbourne merchandise will also be available for purchase.
Please note there will be no ATM facilities at the venue.
