SOME of Yarraville Seddon’s junior stars got a chance to rub shoulders with the AFL captains at the Season Launch on Thursday.
About 15 of the Eagles youngsters got the chance to be a part of the AFL launch, after they took part in Toyota’s Good for Footy event last season.
Hawks premiership player Jarryd Roughead came down to Yarraville last year, with clubs rising stars getting the chance to score some tips from the premier forward.
On Thursday, the junior footballers played games and met some of the AFL’s best players including Gold Coast Suns captain Gary Ablett, Hawthorn hero Luke Hodge and Collingwood skipper Scott Pendlebury at Etihad Stadium.
Yarraville Seddon junior club president Naime Siddell said the kids had a great time.
“They were very excited,” he said.
“They got a lot of autographs from the captains and took a lot of photos, it all went really well.”
The AFL season kicks-off on Thursday when Richmond take on Carlton at the MCG.
