GLEN ORDEN
Despite not being able to back up their 2013 premiership last season, it seems Glen Orden is up and about and ready to get stuck into a new year.
With the development of its younger players pushing up the ranks to senior football, President David Franklin says the Hawks are looking forward to a big 2015.
How many teams will you be fielding this year?
Senior, Reserves, Under 18, Under 14, Under 12, Under 10.
How has the pre-season been?
Slow to begin with but numbers are beginning to grow.
What are your expectations for the new season as a club?
We expect our seniors and reserves to play finals. Under 18’s are mostly first year, but the core group played together in the under 16C premiership in 2014. We’ve already noticed more improvement with them; many are ready to progress to senior football.
Are there any new young players to look out for this season?
No standout so far, it’s been consistent across the board.
Any staff/coaching changes?
Reserves Coach- Darren Edwards.
Reserves Assistant- Wayne Hinge.
Under 18 coaches- Tony Green and Dean Comensoli
2015 Captain: Mark Pozzuto will lead us this season.
Upcoming Events:
We have a Beyond Blue Event during our Round 1 clash against Sunshine Heights on Saturday April 11.
It will be a fantastic day raising money and awareness for a great cause, with heaps of activities for the whole family!
