MELLINGTON BECOMES A LAKER

CAROLINE Springs has signed former Fremantle player Josh Mellington for the next two seasons.

The goal kicking machine played six games for the Dockers in 2011.

For the past two seasons Mellington has been playing for Albury in the Ovens and Murray Football League. This season he booted 90 goals from 12 games in the regular season. His biggest haul was 16 goals against Corowa-Rutherglen in Round 11.

Last year he kicked 113 goals from 20 games.

Albury lost to Wangaratta in the 2017 Grand Final after finishing the regular season on top of the ladder.

“Josh is a multiple century goal kicker and will no doubt add firepower to our forward line as we embark on an exciting 2018,” Caroline Springs stated.
